The Queen Might Not Be Attending Harry And Meghan’s Wedding
Since the announcement was made that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle would officially tie the knot, many of us are counting down the days until the next grand royal wedding can occur! The two met years ago and have been swooning for each other ever since. Markle, the bride-to-be, couldn’t be happier!
What’s this then that we hear that the Queen might not be attending their wedding? Hogwash! However, maybe there is some grain of truth in this incredibly hard to believe rumor. The reason you might ask? Meghan Markle was once married before she met Prince Harry, and got a divorce because her first marriage failed!
How dare a woman get divorced! Surely we can’t allow her to have a holy marriage after this travesty! As the head of the church of England, the Queen must uphold standards that marriage is for life. Divorce under her religion is strictly not encouraged in the church, and the blessing to get remarried was once sparsely given.
In 2005, The Queen of England did not attend the ceremony of her son Prince Charles and his marriage to Camilla Parker-Bowles, both of whom had been previously married. She did attend the reception afterward, but her placement with divorce made it impossible for her to attend the Holy Matrimony.
